Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team to cover a period maternity leave.
As a Dental Nurse, you will provide support and assistance to dentists and dental hygienists in delivering high-quality dental care to patients. Your role will involve a combination of administrative tasks and direct patient care.
Duties:
- Assist dentists and dental hygienists during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Welcome and prepare patients for their dental treatments
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate patient records and update patient information as needed
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort
- Educate patients on post-treatment care instructions
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office's appointment system
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing patient records, and processing payments
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, dentists, and other team members
- Strong nursing skills to provide efficient chairside assistance during dental procedures
- Proficiency in IT systems for managing patient records and scheduling appointments
- Exceptional patient care skills to ensure a comfortable and positive experience for patients
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English for effective communication with patients and colleagues
